Kia Ora!
It would be impossible to explain all that has happened the last 2 weeks. I can tell you everything I did but thats not even the tip of the iceberg. I’ve experienced so much both physically and emotionally that it feels like I’ve already burnt through an entire lifetime. The six of us guys (Jeb, Mike, Dan, Korey, Adam and me) took some time to reflect in a little cabin in Arthurs Pass Village before our trip ended and it was great the moments we recalled and the lil tidbits we brought up. I think that’ll be the best way to describe or attempt to describe what has happened because if I were to try and write anything it would consume the rest of the semester and take hundreds of pages. Not to mention there’s just no way it does it justice, so when I get back Ill be happy to sit down and reflect/share all that has happened. Its simply amazing how this beautiful land has shaped me thus far and it wasn’t until I sat on Gertrude Saddle and tried to stop time as I gazed on the most spectacular sight that I realized this. Its great to be able to stop and enjoy everything around you because all too often I feel like I rushed through life before this. To go through a day smilin and enjoyin all the sights, sounds, and smells around you, its almost like a whole new world is created. One of the most poignant memories I have from the trip was when I took a moment to sit on the beach at night and just listened to the waves and feel the cold air on my face. I couldn’t see much but at the same time I could experience so much. It was incredible. Simply incredible.
With Love,
Sean
