Kia Ora,
Aight as requested I’m gonna upload a few excerpts from my awesome papers haha but first we must talk about the no judging rule of Flat 9. In Atawhai, there are several “countries”(flats) that we recognize. For instance there’s Pakistan, which has 5 Pakistani residents, and China, Korea and so on. Flat 9 is ‘Merica. I am the Puerto Rico to Flat 9’s ‘Merica so I have certain rights and I adhere to all rules but I have limited voting rights. One rule of Flat 9 is no judging. Simply put there is no judging that occurs within the borders of ‘Merica, if you judge you are shunned to the porch where you must reflect on your crime. Not only that, but before you re-enter ‘Merica you must press one hand and your forehead to the glass of the sliding door, and the person you judged must link or “have a moment” with you by doing the same on the other side of the glass. After this you may re-enter the great land of ‘Merica. That being said, should you choose to judge my paper you must press one hand and your forehead to the computer screen make a connection with my wonderfully written work, which may take a bit because my papers are extremely boring. Now!!! Feast your eyes and expand your minds haha
Ergonomics Paper on Health and Safety Specialists in NZ Workplaces and how they contribute to the design process of an assembly line.
Large industrial plants crammed full of massive assembly lines and manned by hundreds of workers are a sure-fire thing to need some sort of redesign as technology and quality standards progress. The redesign of an entire industrial plant’s assembly line would be no small task though. There are hundreds of different odds and ends to attend to in order to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the workers, as well as to maintain a certain level of productivity that is acceptable for the business. To meet all of these criteria it is quite evident that a team of specialists would need to be consulted. The seven main groups who might be involved in an assembly line redesign process are occupational health nurses, occupational hygienists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, human resource staff, design engineers, and ergonomists. These groups would work together to ensure that, no matter the new design, the workers’ safety is maintained and that the productivity level of the plant is maintained at an acceptable level. Now, it is important to look into the different roles these groups take part in, and how they interact with the other specialists to create such workplace environments.
Sport Management Paper on Ultimate Frisbee and whether or not it qualifies as Sport according to Jay Coakley.
Ultimate Frisbee has been discussed in the context of sport for quite some time. The current discussions, or rather, debates, have been whether Ultimate Frisbee can be classified as a sport and mentioned alongside modern day sports such as basketball, football, and soccer. There are several things to take into account when considering if Ultimate Frisbee can be declared a sport, the first being how sport is defined. For the purposes of this paper, Jay Coakley’s definition of sport will suffice and can be read as follows, “Sport is an institutionalised competitive activity that involves physical exertion of the use of complex physical skills by individuals whose participation is motivated by a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic factors.” (Coakley, 2009) That being said, the focus can now be placed on the aspects of Ultimate Frisbee which are concurrent with the definition of sport, and on those aspects, if any, which are not concurrent with the definition.
And NO it is not a sport according to Jay Coakley
Exercise Physiology paper on Familial Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is commonly referred to as an “enlarged heart”, but in actuality it is the enlargement/hypertrophy of the left ventricle of the heart. Both groups of scientists based further research on the differences of an individual with a mutation causing familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and a normal, healthy individual. That being stated, they still documented several causes of familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The scientists at Vanderbilt University stated, “Familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is an autosomal-dominant disease resulting from mutations in genes encoding cardiac contractile proteins, and is an important cause of sudden cardiac death. Mutations in cardiac Troponin T (TnT) are responsible for approximately 7% of familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy cases.” (Knollman et al. 2006) Troponin T mutations have a variety of effects on the regulation of contractions within cardiac muscle. (Knollman et al. 2006) Similarly, the group of scientists in Italy stated, “The R403Q mutation in β-myosin heavy chain was the first mutation to be identified as responsible for familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a primary disease of the cardiac sarcomere that is the most commonly identified cause of cardiac sudden death in young people.” (Belus et al. 2008)
REMEMBER NO JUDGING!!!!
If you do choose to judge also remember that rule #1 is NO SWEATING OF THE SMALL STUFF…EVER so that might be subtly evident in my work haha
With Love,
Sean
